So far, using Twitter as an educational tool is still new to me. I cannot think of any specific things I’ve learned a lot from using Twitter but as I continue to use it, I am getting more used to how to use it as an educational tool and have found some interesting articles that other educational accounts have posted. Personally, with my followers just being my classmates, Twitter is more beneficial for me to use to follow educational accounts and read their tweets and articles more than me using it to inform my followers since I do not really have anything to tweet about. I can see the benefits of Twitter for teachers to use to share lesson plans and announcements.
I really enjoyed using Weebly.com when completing the Web Page Design assignment! Weeby.com is easy to use and helped make information on my website very easily attainable and displayed creatively and uniquely. I learned the skills of Weebly.com when making my website, such as adding text boxes, inserting hyperlinks and changing image sizes. I liked the variety of templates and how I can set up the page however I want. The only thing I did not like is there was not a lot of images to use for free. What I would change for the future would just be the information, since this was a fake scenario, it made writing information hard so in the future I will have real information and announcements to insert in. keh17c.weebly.com
Working with Diigo, I have learned a new tool to saved important articles and the tools to help leave descriptions, highlight, and comment. Depending on grade level, Diigo can be applied in my classroom if working with an older age. In a higher elementary class, Diigo can be assigned for homework for students to find an article related to the topic and read and leave annotations. Team members can share articles to help other team members learn new things about their work to make their work easier and more efficient. And lastly, Diigo can be helpful to me, individually, in my professional efforts, helping me save articles and websites for me to refer back to. When I annotate them, it will save me the time and effort of going back and rereading the whole article just to look for the key information.
